Coalition Approach

By utilizing the strengths of our coalition partners, RSAAC works toward our goals through the following approach.

Community Education: RSAAC provides the following training and resources:

  • Prescriber education programs
  • School-based prevention activities
  • Parent education programs
  • Community awareness events
  • Sharing valuable resources through our website and Facebook

Prevention Programs:  RSAAC has implemented several initiatives to combat substance misuse

Safe storage and disposal of medicine:

Community Presence: RSAAC made a goal for 2025 to be present at 12 events this year to spread awareness.

  • Our Little Library
    • Free safety items and books about wellness & recovery
  • Providing resources and education to families and caregivers
  • Showing up at local festivals, markets, and public events—just to connect!
  • Sharing real stories and opening up conversations that matter
  • Advocating for healthier, safer spaces in Powhatan and Goochland
